WIDENER UNIVERSITY ANNOUNCES A NON-TENURE TRACK OPENING FOR A SENIOR LECTURER OF ACCOUNTING IN THE SCHOOL OF BUSINESS ADMINISTRATION IN THE AREA OF FINANCIAL ACCOUNTING AND TAXATION
Widener University’s School of Business Administration, which is accredited by AACSB- International, invites applications for a senior lecturer in Accounting starting in January of 2013. This is a non-tenure track position that is renewable based on performance and student enrollment. Candidate’s primary expertise should be in the areas of Financial Accounting (Introductory, Intermediate and Advanced) and Taxation. Candidates will teach primarily at the undergraduate level and must hold a Bachelors degree in accounting and a Masters degree in Accounting, Taxation or Business Administration (with a concentration in Accounting or Taxation). Professional certification (e.g. CPA, CMA) is highly desirable. Previous collegiate teaching and recent work experience in accounting, auditing or tax is a plus. Candidates must be committed to excellence in teaching, service to the institution and profession, and maintaining currency in their field through professional development. Research and publication in professional journals is desirable.
